Blue-Bear's
name comes from the great German TV puppet "Käpt'n
Blaubär" (Captain Blue Bear), who is a blue
seaman-like bear that tells lied stories to his two
nephews and his niece (three little bears
coloured red, green and yellow). These bears appear
in the "Sendung mit der Maus" (program with
the mouse), a half-hours show containing stories to
laugh about (as Käpt'n Blaubär) and stories
explaining all-days things (e.g. how to produce paper)
for little children. They are always very nice, and
even liked by elder children and grown-ups; Käpt'n
Blaubär has even his own show on TV and also lots
of merchandising stuff, distributed mainly through the
"Käpt'n-Blaubär-Club". You can see
him every Sunday morning about 11:00 am ME(S)T on the
ARD TV-channel.
1991 Captain Blue-Bear
lies in the legal television for the first time. Scene
of the crime: The " program with the mouse "
on the ARD TV-channel. 1993 Captain
Blue-Bear and Hein Blöd get their own show. On
October, starts the Captain Blue-Bear club 1997 A
moment of glory for Hein Blöd: The German astronaut
and blue-bear-fan Reinhold Ewald takes the lovable
ship-rat as mascot with on the Russian space-station
Mir 1997 1998 The
German-Post produced a Captain Blue-Bear stamp. value:
1,10 DM. 1999 In
the spring, Walter Moers published the book "the
13-and a half lives of the Captain Blue-Bear".
The book advances to the national bestseller. The last
temporary climax of the Blue-Bear-career: The cartoon
film "Käpt'n Blaubär" started at
the 16. December 1999 in the German cinemas.
