 Haribo

 Haribo

This teddy bear is unjointed and 27 cm tall. He is a very pretty advertising teddy bear.

Hans Riegel, who founded the family owned company HARIBO together with his wife Gertrud, was born in 1893 in Bonn - Friesdorf, Germany. The young entrepreneur established his new company on December 13, 1920. The name entered in the Register of Companies of the city of Bonn was HARIBO, an acronym for Hans Riegel Bonn. His main starting capital consisted of a sack of sugar; the other "ingredients" included a marble slab, a stool, a brick oven, a copper kettle and a roller. Initially HARIBO only made hard candies, but in 1922 Hans Riegel had his first major inspiration ...a gummi bear! The resulting product, "Tanzbär" ("Dancing Bear"), was slightly larger and slimmer than the "Goldbär" ("Gold-Bear") produced today. Even though they had to be poured into the molds by hand, Riegel managed to achieve a daily output of a hundred kilograms of Dancing Bears. Gertrud Riegel delivered the goods to the customers on the company bicycle
