victories. Arc de Triomphe Commissioned in 1806 by Napoleon,
shortly after his victory at Austerlitz, it was not finished until 1836. It is the most-known triomphe bow of Paris. The 50 meters high arch is adorned with many reliefs. Le Grand Arche La Grand Arch acts as a futuristic triumph bow. The building was built end of the
1980’s and should represent the modern counterpart to the Arc de Triomphe.
