Mr. Ian Pout first came to Witney as an antiques dealer in 1977. Since 1985 he offered bear lovers the finest teddy bears in the world.

In 1988 bought Mr. Ian Pout the famous Alfonzo for $19,800 - a world record price. You can find three of the world’s most famous bears on permanent display, [ Alfonzo, Aloysius (from Brideshead Revisited) and also Theodore (Peter Bull’s pocket companion) ], by Teddy Bears of Witney. Trains leave Paddington station for Oxford every hour. Then leave Oxford Station and take the 100 bus to Witney. Alight the Methodist Church.
