Japan, Nihon, Nippon is a land formed by more as 3000 islands. The four main islands,
Honshu-Hokkaido-Shikodu-Kyushu, span approx. 1600km. Japan sits at the junction of 3 major tetonic plates, therefore it is a land with volcanic and seismic activity. The most famous mountain, the Fuji-san or Mount Fuji, is also
an old volcano. Three quarters of Japan is mountainous. Japan has very distinct seasons and huge temperature extremes. For example, we have had 36°C every day in Tokyo in August, but also some days later the experience with a
