Teddy Girl

Izu-Teddy-Bear-Museum was founded in 1995 by Mr. Yoshi Sekiguchi. If you go by train from Tokyo you will need approximately 2hours 10 minutes.
We drove from Gora to Odawara by Hakone Tozan Railway.
From Odawara to Ito with JR-Railways.
And from Ito to Izu-kogen by local train.
The museum is very famous by one of his exhibits.
This beautiful "Teddy-Girl", circa 1904, Steiff teddy had been Colonel Bob Henderson's companion. This teddy was bought by Mr. Yoshi Sekiguchi for circa 110,000 English Pound in December 1994. Of course, the museum has also a lot of other beautiful new and old teddy bears. I’m sure that you will enjoy a visit in this museum. After the visit it is possible to have a break in the museum shop and in the tea room.
